Let me explain my day.

Let me explain my day.

I wake up. For a moment I think I am in my parents’ home. I look around and everything seems easy. I turn around and I doze.

Just a little while later, I wake up again. A little confused. I was sure I was at home, my parents’ home that is. But something is different. The walls, I recognise them. So I must be at home. But they are not the walls from my parents’ home. Gradually I wake up; I look around and everything seems familiar but different.

I am at a loss for what to do. So, I sit and play solitaire.

I am at a loss for what to do. So, I sit and play solitaire. Mindlessly. Some outcome of the universe banking on every game. Sometimes it becomes very serious – like I am the police monitoring my own moves. Other times it is careless. When it gets too tedious I switch to see if anyone has emailed me, messaged me, sought me out in some other way. Hardly ever is it a message I want. Then I go wandering into my past. Remembering things that people said. My friend Takahide once said to me, “We act first, and make explanations later.”

A blogging experiment: Join the league of bored people.

We’re now launching something mildly exciting here on jonathanwichmann.com.

I’ve realised that I’m quite boring. So, I’ve found someone marginally less boring to come and do a blog experiment here.

We are testing just how boring you can be and still get a following.
